Literature enthusiasts come from around the world to visit the breathtaking residence of the popular author Samuel Clemens, better known as Mark Twain.

Explore the residence of where Twain lived and wrote some of his most acclaimed works, including The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. The 19 rooms lovingly restored retain many features of Louis Comfort Tiffany, the notorious artist who also designed many rooms in the white house. Admire the design motifs from Morocco, India, Japan, China and Turkey found throughout the first floor.

Nearly 10,000 objects from the Victorian era remain here today and the personal belongings of former house residents, including Paige’s typesetting machine, a three tons bad invention mainly responsible for the bankruptcy of Twain. A beautiful contemporary museum is also adjacent to the house, it describes in great detail the life and times of the Master.
