Chiang Rai is located in northern Thailand and even though it is not located on a coastline, during dry season the Kok River water level drops to reveal soft sands. The popular Chiang Rai Beach (Pattaya Noi) has a number of bamboo huts with traditional thatched roofs where you can relax and enjoy refreshing drinks and local cuisine. The picturesque limestone formations tower up behind the lush tropical jungle making this a beautiful beach setting.

You can catch a longtail boat up the river and visit the elephant camps, or explore the nearby Buddha Cave located in one of the limestone crags. Chiang Rai Beach is a favourite amongst locals as itís the perfect place to enjoy the river. During the Songkran Festival you can make the most of the party atmosphere with fantastic local foods and drinks and plenty of music for you to enjoy.
