St. Lucia's palm-fringed beaches, elegant old plantation houses, the soft tropical air, friendly islanders, hypnotic steel band music and the tantalizing aroma of the cuisine combine to create the perfect get-away.
St. Lucia has some of the most immensely beautiful scenery to be found anywhere in the world. St. Lucia's most famous landmarks are the twin peaks of the Pitons. The Pitons soar 2000ft up from the sea, surrounded by a flourishing rainforest where wild orchids, giant ferns and birds of paradise flourish. Amongst the natural beauty of its lush forests and soaring peaks are ancient fortresses, gem-like fishing villages, and gracious town squares, places waiting to be discovered like hidden treasure.
Catch a panoramic bird's eye view from Mt. Gimie, before plunging into a refreshing shower in the mineral rich waters at Diamond Falls, where Louis XVI of France built bath houses for his troops. Just offshore, you can dive into a fantastic underwater world rich with vast stretches or coral reefs and dazzling marine life. Then come back up for a ride into the world's only drive-through volcano.
St. Lucia is home to many turtles, including giant leatherbacks which come ashore between April and September to nest. So you may be lucky enough to see them, as well as the visiting whales. You'll find plenty of bars and restaurants on Rodney Bay where you'll be entertained by fantastic live music.
