Fly into Lima where you stay for 2 nights in the chic tourist area of Miraflores. On day 2 we include a private half day tour which takes in all the highlights of Lima.
An overnight stay in Arequipa preceeds your overland journey to the Colca Canyon, home to the giant Condors, where you spend 2 nights.
Travel back to Arequipa before flying to Puna where you stay for 3 nights. Puna is the gateway to Lake Titicaca which is the highest navigable lake in the World. On day 8 you will enjoy a full-day motor-boat excursion across Lake Titicaca during which you will have the chance to meet the members of the Uros water tribe in their floating island villages.
Day 10 and you travel by first class rail from Puno to Cusco. This incredible journey takes you through the Andean Mountains looking down on the deep valleys of the Huatanay River, then across the Andean Plains before reaching Cusco where you have 3 nights.
During your time in amazing Cusco, we provide a Private Half Day City tour, as well as a full day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Depart Cusco on day 13, and for your spectacular train journey to the ancient ruins at Machu Picchu. You will have ample opportunity to spend time visting the unique citadel during your 2 night stay.
Return to Cusco for the final night of your Best of Peru adventure.
