The key to a good trip and holiday to Australia is planning. It is a vast country measuring up to 2,500 miles from one side to the other. Yep sure you can see a few kangaroos without planning but if you want to enjoy some of Australia's biggest and most famous attractions then you need to do some homework before hand.

As part of your trip you have to visit the coast. It's no wonder that Australian's have a love of the sea with 90% of them living within 10 miles of it.

The Gold Coast in Eastern Australia is famous for its surfing and wild parties. It lies in a tropical zone which means it has balmy summers and mild winters. The East coast is home to ones of the most famous beaches in the world, Bondi Beach and its legendary team of lifeguards. Further North you have to visit the Great Barrier Reef which hosts perhaps the best diving and snorkelling in the world.

With so many famous landmarks it is difficult to resist trying to visit them all.

Uluru (Ayres Rock) at sunset is spectacular and so is the Sydney harbour bridge and opera house. However you should also try and make time for other activities which are bit more off the beaten track. Sampling world class wines in the Barossa Valley for example or hiking in tropical Fraser island are all worth doing. For the more adventurous Australia has some dramatic bungee jumps and white water rafting.
