Rocky Mountain Helicopter Tour

Day 1

Start off at Calgary airport where you’ll be introduced to your pilots and tour director. You’ll then head off to enjoy your first flight to Canmore heliport situated in the heart of the Rockies. On this 45-60 minute flight you’ll see the breathtaking scenery change from the Alberta prairies, through the rolling foothills and into the stunning Rocky Mountains.

Take in the sights of Mount Assiniboine, the clear spray lakes and the magical Three Sisters and Rundle Range Mountains. Enjoy a night at the 19th century Banff Springs Hotel and relax in their luxurious spa. Other activities such as Horseriding, canoeing, golfing and biking are available on this day. 

Day 2

Enjoy a relaxing morning before heading to the Canmore heliport where you will take a flight travelling North West. Enjoy the panoramic views of Moraine Lake, The valley of the Ten Peaks and then beauty of Lake Louise.

The flight will then start to fly towards Jasper and the Icefields Parkway which features over 100 ancient glaciers, stunning waterfalls and clear emerald lakes. Enjoy a gourmet picnic taking in the peace and tranquillity. After lunch you will continue south west before landing at the Sparkling Hill Resort with spectacular views of the Okanagan Lake.

Spend a relaxing afternoon in the KurSpa Wellness Centre with over 100 innovative healing treatments. Golfing and watersports are also available on this day. Finish off the evening with a spectacular dinner at the PeakFine signature restaurant. Enjoy the resorts specially curated Crystal Wines as well as cuisine made with fresh and fine quality ingredients. 

Day 3

Today you have the opportunity to take in the Okanagan scenery and sample some of the delicious wine from some of the best wineries in the area. Okanagan has everything from world class wineries to family run boutique vineyards with wines that consistently rank among the world’s best at international competitions. Sample some of the best Okanagan wines at award winning wineries such as 50th parallel, Ex Nihilo and Mission Hill.

You will then take a short flight south along the shores of the lake to the Naramata Bench and land at Painted Rock or Poplar Grove for further delicious wines, foods and cheeses.  After a lazy afternoon you will head on to the Whistler heliport and spend the night at lakeside boutique hotel, Nita Lake Lodge. Here you can enjoy fine dining in their lakeside restaurant as well as activities such as fishing, golfing, biking, zip linings and tree top trekking. 

Day 4

Have a relaxing morning and depart at your convenience from the natural beauty of the coastal mountains to the serene beauty of the West Coast. Stop and enjoy a serene picnic lunch in a remote spot before continuing onto the exclusive island resort of Sonora.

This exclusive Wilderness Resort provides luxurious accomodation, 5 star service and exciting eco-adventures. On this stunning island you can leave the docks and enjoy some ocean salmon fishing, get up close with grizzlies or bike, hike and explore on the shore.

After all that activity spend a relaxing afternoon at the world class Island Currents Spa for some therapeutic treatments.  

Day 5

Enjoy a relaxing morning before departing and heading south west for a flight over Vancouver Island. After stopping on the beach for a picnic the flight will continue on its south east route along the Pacific Rim National Park coastline before landing at Tofino airport. When you land you’ll be whisked away in a limo to the Wickaninnish Inn, the interiors utilise the natural elements of cedar, fir, driftwood and stone to blend in with the natural environment.

Expansive windows bring the outside in with stunning ocean vistas. Activities such as rainforest tours, bear and whale watching and beach combing are available. The ancient cedars spa is the perfect place for relaxation and rejuvenation with its spa practitioners providing treatments to take you on a journey into a sense of well-being.

Day 6

In the morning you will head to the airport where you will depart south east toward Victoria. As you fly you will see stunning views of the Pacific Rim National Park. During the flight to Victoria harbour you will be able to take in the stunning coastline including lush rainforests, extensive beaches and the broken group islands consisting of 100 islands in Barkley Sound.

After the flight you will land at Victoria Harbour heliport and be whisked to the Empress Hotel, just in time for afternoon tea! Enjoy the delightful view from your room of the impressive harbour front room. Activities such as whale watching, golfing and zip lining are available on this day. 

Day 7

After a leisurely morning exploring the harbour you will depart and head north to Salt Spring Island where you will be staying in the impressive Hastings House. This 22 acre Sussex-style manor hotel is just a 7 minute walk to the nearby harbour town of Ganges.

The island is known for its natural beauty and laid back life style with artists and musicians choosing to make it their home. Explore the picturesque bays and coves and the beaches sprinkled with sea creatures and driftwood. Enjoy fresh food at Hastings House dining room. The menu is created daily using the freshest ingredients from their garden and local island farmers.

The boutique spa on site provides expert massage and spa treatments to help you relax and unwind. Other activities on the island include golfing, hiking and kayaking.

Day 8

On the last day of your trip depending on your ongoing travel plans we can proceed and land at either Vancouver International Airport or at the heliport in Coal Harbour in Downtown Vancouver. Our recommendations whilst in Vancouver include the stunning waterside market and entertainment at Granville Island.

Take in the beauty of Stanley Park and check out the cafes and restaurants in Gastown and Yaletown. Before you leave don’t forget to watch the sunset fade over the city from Kitsilano Beach or English Bay.
