This hotel is stunning and if you go to Agrigento it is the only place to stay. Beautiful room with a view of the temples even from the bathroom! However, the service is not what it should be for a 5 star hotel. The staff were very friendly but many of them were just a bit hopeless really (said in the nicest way as they were polite). There was a bit of a language barrier and simple things like it took a good 20 minutes to get an aperitivo and when we did the drinks were warm. I must also say that the food is overpriced however again with teh view of teh temples from the dining area I wouldn't have gone elsewhere. It doesn't appear possible to add a further hotel so I will add it here.We also stayed at the Hotel Carlotta in Taormina. This is a simply stunning boutique hotel. We stayed ina junior suite with a terrace and it was gorgeous. Breakfast was served on the top floor and the views are breathtaking, I wish I could go back there now. The food for breakfast was also the best I have ever experienced at a hotel. The staff were very friendly and although it was a hotel it felt very homely. Although not the largest or most expensive hotel I would rather stay here than anywhere else. The owners/staff have got it spot on. I have submitted a full review of our holiday to Cordelia.
