Langkawi Things to do

Should you fancy a change from sand, sea and sun - or perhaps beach, bar and bed - there are plenty of activities and places to visit on offer on Langkawi island. If you place an enquiry on our site then one of our Langkawi experts will be happy to help.
They can tell you about these wonderful attractions in Langkawi:-
1) The Pulau Payar Marine Park is a sanctuary for a plethora of marine life. There are beautiful beaches, an underwater observatory for those who don’t dive or snorkel – and amazing dives and snorkelling for those who do!
2) The cable car station at the Oriental Village in the north west offers a 360 degree view of the Andaman Sea and Langkawi from the summit of Mount Mat Cincanq, the islands second-highest peak. The temperature drops sharply en route up the 42° climb above the rainforest and the Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls. After two cable car stages, a staircase leads to the observatory deck and a suspension bridge to a neighbouring mountain for spectacular views of the island and surrounding sea.
3) Langkawi Wildlife Park is a bird and animal sanctuary with over 3,000 birds of 150 species from around the globe, set in tropical landscape gardens.
4) Underwater World is the largest such exhibition in Asia, with over 5,000 marine and fresh water fishes in over 100 tanks and a 3-D theatre showcasing documentaries on marine life.
5) Seven Wells at  Burau Bay on the slopes of Mount Cincang, are a collection of waterfalls on seven levels  rising 91 m high.
6) The Snake Sanctuary is home to a large collection of venomous and non-venomous snakes from around the world, set in lush tropical parkland.
7) Laman Padi is a new attraction on Langkawi is a must for agro-tourists, showcasing the history, heritage and development of the rice-growing industry.
8) The Crocodile Farm in Datai Bay, 30 km form Kuah has over 3,000 crocodiles of various species feeding and basking in the sun. The farm harvest crocodiles for their skin – available as leather goods in the souvenir shop.  You can witness a unique boxing match between man and crocodile or you can take a ride in a rickshaw drawn by a crocodile. And you can meet Bujang Kawi, the oldest “inmate”, weighing over 453 kilos (1,000 lbs).
9) And finally, after the wonders of the natural world, if and when you feel in need of some shopping therapy, the Oriental Village is a conceptual space designed specifically for resort duty free shopping with over 30 outlets offering a diverse array of brands and products.
