With a varied landscape and beach areas enjoying sunny weather throughout the year a holiday to Mexico can be enjoyed year round. Certain times of the year may be preferable to some and some destinations are better at different times of year.
The most popular time for visitors to the beach resorts in Mexico is from October to May with pleasant temperatures making this a great time for a relaxing break. The months of June to September can be very hot and too uncomfortable for some and the hurricane season lasts from June to November. During peak times prices are higher for accommodation and hotels so if you are looking for a bargain you may want to consider the low season.
Mexico's varied landscape brings with it varied weather so if you are travelling to areas with higher elevations you can expect much colder temperatures in the winter compared to the beach resorts. If you want to experience one of the fiestas you can plan your holiday to coincide with one of these, however if you prefer a more peaceful and relaxed atmosphere then these festival times might not be the best time for you.
