Here’s What You’ll Get Up To…
Day 1 – Arrive in vibrant Lima, the capital of Peru, and head to the popular district of Miraflores for your first night’s stay.
Day 2 – Awake to a hotel breakfast and depart on your choice of adventure…
Cultural Experience – Enjoy a guided tour of Lima’s top sights, including the photo-worthy Cathedral and main square.
Gastronomic Experience – Take a foodie tour into a traditional Peruvian market, then use fresh ingredients to prepare and sample some tempting local dishes.
Active Experience – Jump on a bicycle and enjoy a riding tour of Lima’s cultural hotspots, including the colourful district of Barranco, known for artists and captivating street art.

Day 3 - Enjoy breakfast before taking a morning flight to Arequipa. Upon arrival, you will join a guided tour of the city’s stunning colonial structures and a 16th century monastery, still in use today!

Day 4 – This day will be a feast for the eyes as you travel through the altiplano towards Colca Canyon. The journey takes around 5 hours in total, with plenty of opportunities to get out and appreciate the scenery.

Day 5 – Rise early in the morning in search of condors soaring across the incredible Colca Canyon! A day for wildlife lovers, your guide will help you spot various creatures residing in this impressive habitat.

Day 6 – Travel from Colca Canyon to Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake. The journey takes between 5 to 6 hours, accompanied with fantastic scenery and entertaining stories from your Tour Leader to keep you occupied.

Day 7 – Home to multiple indigenous communities for hundreds of years, the stunning Lake Titicaca is best appreciated from a vantage point with panoramic views. Alongside this bucket-list sight, guests are greeted by a small restaurant with a menu of freshly-caught fish and local dishes.

Day 8 – As you travel on the tourist bus towards Cusco, you will stop off in the town of Andahuaylillas. Nestled between the green hills, this town is well-known for an incredibly ornate 17th century church. You will then embark on a guided visit of the Raqchi archaeological site before visiting your final excursion of the day, La Raya, the highest point in the area with amazing photo opportunities.

Day 9 – Today you will get to choose from another three activities…
Cultural Experience – Embark on a detailed tour of the Sacred Valley, including the Moray archaeological site, the Maras salt mines and Ollantaytambo; one of the largest Inca complexes in the country. You will then have some free time to wander through the local streets and markets.
Local Experience – Meet with the local community within the Sacred Valley, who are renowned for the craft of colourful alpaca textiles. Misminay is a fascinating community of 100 families who live at a staggering 3,700 meters altitude! Enjoy a warm welcome and learn about their lifestyle through multiple engaging activities.
Active Experience – Set out on a trek to see the stunning Humantay Lagoon, set against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains.

Day 10 – Receive an early awakening to begin the journey worth waiting for… Machu Picchu! After a train journey, followed by a bus ride, you will reach this Wonder of the World, enjoying a tour, a delicious lunch and some free time to appreciate this Incan citadel.

Day 11 – Receive a second entry to Machu Picchu to enjoy a morning of leisurely explorations or an optional hike to the Sun Gate. In the afternoon, you will then take the train back to the city of Cusco.

Day 12 – Discover the Sacsayhuamán fortress on the outskirts of Cusco before joining a walking tour of the local area. This is the perfect time to find souvenirs as your tour will take you to a local market filled with fresh produce and handmade goods. After your sightseeing, you will be transferred to the airport and board a flight to Lima, where you will spend your final night.

Day 13 – Your Highlights of Peru tour has come to an end, yet you have a couple of hours to say goodbye to Lima and make final purchases. You will then be taken to the airport to begin your journey home.
