Weather in The Seychelles can only be described starting at beautiful and rising towards perfect. It is always warm and without extremes – a tropical haven where the temperature seldom drops below 24°C or rises above 32°C. All but the remotest southern islands lie comfortably outside the cyclone belt, making The Seychelles a year-round destination for sun worshippers, beachcombers, environmental enthusiasts and those seeking rest, relaxation and more than a touch of luxury.

The Seychelles granite and coral islands extend from between four and ten degrees south of the equator and lie between 480km and 1,600km from the east coast of Africa, so weather is predictable and mostly serene. Of the 115 islands, 41 Inner Islands are oldest mid-oceanic granite islands on earth, while the remaining 74 – the Outer Islands - form five groups of low-lying coral atolls and reef islets.
In January and February, the islands receive their share of rain, rejuvenating the rivers and streams and teasing the vibrant foliage into rainbows of colour. Mild but refreshing north-west trade winds visit between the months of October and March, when the sea is generally calm and the weather warm and humid.
Between May and September, the weather is drier and cooler, with livelier seas - particularly on south-eastern coasts. So, blessed as they are with a year-long warm, tropical climate, in The Seychelles, it is always a good time to visit.
