"A little bit smelly in places, but Thailand is generally not the best for sewerage and rubbish! Our connecting car from koh samui airport to take us to the speedboat for koh phagnan didnt turn up, even though we had called them, so we had to sort it ourselves, that wasnt the best start. Also, the santhiya resort was so boring, the bars shut at 11 and because of the rain it was too hard to get anywhere, and they charge you a ridiculous amount if you wanted to. At the end of those 6 nights, we were glad to leave as there's nothing to do and we started to feel like we were in shutter island!!!! " rating 8/10, 14th Nov 2010, Leigh W

"I liked Thailand but my stay was marred by the bad weather. We only had 3 days sunshine in the 14 days we were away. The colours of everything are transformed when the sun shines and many of the things we hoped to do like snorkling and diving were not possible because of the "freak" weather. We stayed 2 nights in Bankok at the Sheraton Orchid which we thoroughly enjoyed.
