Time Travel

It's official - going on holiday more means you live longer!

Scientific research from our in-house science professor reveals a startling discovery: those who fly more live longer...

...admittedly, only by, on average, 0.6-millionths-of-a-second. But every second counts, right?

Here's the science, from our very own nutty science professor. According to Einstein's theory of relativity, the faster you travel, the less time you experience - and thus, technically, you live longer.

For example, consider twins who are somehow both destined to die on their shared 70th birthday. If one of them travels around consistently and extremely quickly all their life, then after 70 years they could end up having experienced 69 years and 364 days of time compared to their twin's exact 70 years, and thus would be due an extra day. They would die a day later than their twin purely by virtue that they traveled around a lot more quickly.

When conducting our research, we assumed that flights were 4 hours in duration on average, which gave us an estimate on the timings. Therefore the calculations made were as follows:

Now we all have an excuse to travel more- going on holiday prolongs your life, what more could you ask for!
