St Lucia has a reputation for luxurious accommodation – helped, of course, by its mellow tropical climate, abundant flora and fauna and easy-going lifestyle – which often defies exact classification by the nature of its exclusivity - part-hotel, part- resort.

One of the oldest and most established hotels in St.Lucia is the East Winds Inn is set in 12 acres of tropical gardens bordered by the beachfront of La Brelotte Bay - one of the most pristine in the island. You can catch a glimpse of Martinique on the horizon from the Inn’s terrace, take a dip in the pool or saunter down to sample the warm waters of Marigot Bay – St Lucia’s magic without adornment. 

Also nestled on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea is a new venture - Ti Kaye Village Beachside Resort at Anse Cochon on the serene west coast of the island. A secluded, peaceful location , it is a perfect hideaway for anyone seeking complete relaxation or seclusion in casual, yet beautiful surroundings. The village has guest cottages near a main pavilion housing the restaurant and bar, with a fresh water pool only a few steps away.

There are 33 cottages strung out along the hillside, each with ocean views, surrounded by tropical foliage. The cottages are designed in traditional West Indian style – all have air conditioning, although you may prefer simply to open the window and door louvres to catch a cooling breeze. Each has a large veranda with hammocks for two, a king size four poster bed and private open-air garden shower; some have a private plunge pool. Nearby, a winding wooden staircase leads 166 steps down to a cove with silver sand and crystal clear water: a haven for snorkelers, scuba divers and watersports enthusiasts.
