External events (civil unrest for example) meant that our plans had to change on 3 occasions, which was difficult for all of us. At one point we were on the verge of sustaining meaty cancellation charges from an inflexible big tour operator, but Ruth took the issue to Director level and made the most of her contacts in the trade, with the result being that we managed to avoid those charges.
In the end , we had an amazing honeymoon, and Ruth's persistence was a big part of it being a success. If you've never dealt with an independent travel agent before, give Ruth a call. I can't recommend her highly enough. January 21, 2011

We're safely back from our holiday. We had a fantastic time! All the travel logistics worked very smoothly. We wanted to thank you very much for organising the holiday for us, in particular for the choice of hotels and also for your suggestion of switching to Bali for the second week (having flown over a rainy Thailand on the way home!).
We absolutely loved the views along the river from the Royal Orchid Sheraton - what a great location! We did a Pacific World palaces/temples tour and the Ayuthaya/river cruise tour, exploring on our own on the final Bangkok day. The Khao Yai trip was very good. We were expecting to stay in the Garden Lodge Hotel, but the tour operator had a new place of their own (Khao Yai Nature Life Resort) where they put us in a huge 2-bedroom villa next to the main pool. Our day in the national park was rather wet, but we saw some great wildlife including gibbons, macaques, deer, bats and giant spiders as well as the huge rainforest trees. The trekking, the mud and the leeches might not suit every family, but we really enjoyed an authentic rainforest experience!
The Bali Hyatt was again a great choice for us. They gave us inter-connecting rooms and we enjoyed the beach and the pool, as well as the excellent restaurants inside and outside the hotel. We did a couple of Pacific World trips around the island. There were some amazing sights to see especially the temples, though we were surprised by how congested the traffic was. The Hyatt was a peaceful haven to return to. Our favourite activities from the week were snorkelling over the coral reef at Lembongan Island and watching the wonderful Balinese dance shows.

We used Ruth’s services when booking a recent trip to the Maldives. We made frequent changes to our itinerary, in terms of hotels, dates and flight times and Ruth accommodated them all with ease. She was highly organised and kept us informed of progress at every stage of the process, working very hard to secure our booking.
