If you are looking to book your holiday between March and May you have a lot of holidays to choose from. In early spring, winter destinations are still possible and in late spring the summer flight routes start to open up. Here are our recommendations to the best holidays at springime
The Caribbean can be quite expensive in the winter but in spring prices become much more reasonable as demand drops off. Their rainy season is not until late summer and so there is plenty of time to enjoy their fantastic weather. The top popular destinations we recommend are Barbados, Antigua and Trinidad & Tobago. If you prefer quieter places then try St Lucia or St Kitts.
Mauritius, Maldives and the Seychelles are pretty constant all year round but Spring (and Autumn) are particularly good times to travel. They are not so busy which means you will have more space to enjoy what they have to offer but also better prices than peak times.
The weather is still gorgeous in the Far East at this time of year and so places like Phuket, Trang, Koh Samui and Langkawi are all fantastic. If you would like something that is a bit different then why not try Vietnam.
If you only want a flight of a few hours then places in Southern Europe, Northern Africa and the Middle East come into bloom in Spring. We would certainly recommend Sardinia, Morrocco, Egypt, Italy. For something rich in culture and off the beaten track then why not try Sicily?
Springtime in the UK is wet season for safaris in Africa. This means that prices are much lower than the peak season. While you won't be able to do much sunbathing there are added benefits for travelling in the wet season. For example you can see Victoria Falls at its most impressive and you can also do river safaris as well as land safaris.
Destinations we would recommend at this time of year would be Botswana, Kenya, South Africa and the Victoria Falls.
