Founded in 1905, the original intention of Venice and Venice Beach was for it to be a replica of its Italian namesake. What has resulted here in sunny California is a creative and artistic hangout, a great day out for lots of activities.

Take a stroll along the 3 mile long boardwalk on the paved promenade running parallel to the beach. This is a great day out to relax and soak in the atmosphere. Your walk will certainly be an interesting one and can feature belly dancers, palm readers and artists to name but a few!

From shopping the local brands, eating seafood and beachside snacks to doing some beach volleyball, there is sure to be something to entertain you!

Venice Beach is famous for being an excellent surfspot. Venice Breakwater is great for seeking waves on both sides of the beach. For a more relaxing time, why not take advantage of the finest sands and build some sand sculptures!
