Formed during the Great Glaciation more than 240,000 years ago, the Columbia Icefield is the world’s largest accumulation of snow and ice south of the Arctic Circle.

The magnificently vast Columbia Icefield (325 km²) lies partly in the north-western area of the Banff National Park and partly in the Jasper National Park, upon the Continental Divide between British Columbia and Alberta, Canada. Feeding an astounding total of eight glaciers, and home to the famous Athabasca Glacier.

Two unforgettable experiences in the heart of the Canadian Rockies: Icefields Parkway & Glacier Skywalk.
