Petrohue Waterfalls

Petrohue Waterfalls is a spectacular shoot-like waterfall in the upper part of the Petrohue River in Chile which is sourced from Todos los Santos Lake.

Located in the magnificent Vincent Perez Rosales National Park, this wonderful waterfall is also flowing basaltic lava from the Osorno Volcano that towers above it. Flowing through the carved volcanic canyons, the white frothy water takes the path to the different multi-drops.

The water reflects a striking clear green hue whilst the powerful sound of the thrashing water echoes in the surroundings.

Whilst visiting Chile it is highly recommended to visit Petrohue Waterfalls and feel the majestic spray of water. One of the most photographed falls in the world, up close you will completely understand why.

The hike to the waterfall is relatively flat and simple taking around half an hour.  The closest place to visit Petrohue from is Puerto Varas which is a highly popular place in the Lake District.

Many tours are available from Puerto Varas with a wide selection of options depending on the amount of walking you would like to experience and how much of the national park you would like to see.

This beautiful coloured waterfall is easily accessed, making it inexcusable not to visit.
