From the volcanoes of the Andes to the spectacular wildlife of the Galapagos, this holiday will leave you in no doubt why Ecuador is one of South America’s most unique destinations

You will start in the colonial city of Quito before heading through the spectacular Avenue of the Volcanoes on your journey to the South Coast. Stop by the Cotopaxi National Pak and a must-see crater of Quilotoa before enjoying a ride on the famous Devils Nose Train.

Upon arrival into Guayaquil you will then fly on to the Galapagos Islands for an 8-day cruise around this amazing archipelago. Enjoy daily activities amongst the unique wildlife that call these islands home.

Days 1-2: – Quito
Depart UK for Quito where you will spend 2 nights discovering Ecuador’s colonial capital, with its ancient buildings, friendly locals and traditional culture. Take a guided walking tour of the historical centre to understand the importance of Quito’s history and lasting cultural practices.

Days 3–6: – Avenue of Volcanoes
Over the next 3 nights you will take a guided journey by road through the Ecuadorian countryside, surrounded by the towering peaks of ancient volcanoes.

Spend a day exploring the beautiful Cotopaxi National Park and the next day enjoy a visit to the must-see crater of Quilotoa and its brightly coloured lagoon.

Experience the greenery of the Baños valley, where you will have a full day tour of its incredible waterfalls. After arriving in Riobamba, brave the thrilling Devil’s Nose Train journey along a wall of sheer rock.

Day 7: -Cuenca
At the end of your journey through the Avenue of Volcanoes, you will spend 2 nights in the pretty,city of Cuenca where you can take a full day to relax and enjoy the local sites at your own pace.

Day 8:–Guayaquil
Take the road to Guayaquil via the Las Cajas National Park in Ecuador’s highlands, where you’ll have the opportunity for andsome wildlife spotting. On arrival in Guayaquil, check in for 1 night in this coastal city.Spend anthe evening promenading the bustling Malecon 2000, on the banks of the River Guayas.

Days 9–15: –Galapagos Islands
This morning you will take a two-hour flight to the Galapagos National Park and board your expedition ship. Over the next 7 nights you will sail between the various islands of this magnificent archipelago, coming into close contact with unique species such as Giant Tortoises, Galapagos Penguins and Blue-footed Boobies. Enjoy a range of activities such as gentle hikes, snorkeling and sea-kayaking during this wildlife experience of a lifetime!

Day 16-17: – Depart Guayaquil
Fly back to Guayaquil and connect with your overnight flight back to the UK.
