Rovos rail has a total of seven exciting itineraries, from a three day Pretoria to Cape Town, right up to a fifteen day Cape Town to Dar Es Salaam, a real African adventure! These itineraries are run on a regular, scheduled basis throughout the year.

Most journeys depending on where you depart, will start with Mr Rovo’s himself giving a short talk about the train and what to expect while on board. This will take place in one the Rovo’s rail exclusive lounges. Depending on the route chosen Rovo’s rail has many exclusive tours with amazing excursions including visiting Victoria Falls and embarking on a game drive in the Nambiti.

Accommodation

The suites have a magnificent titanic class about them with wood panelling. The suites allow guests to travel in private with 24 hour service available. These cabins accommodate two people including some rooms with a double bed and extra space. What really sets this beautiful train apart from the rest is its three elegant suites, each more luxurious than the next.

The Pullman suite is an old fashioned sleeper cabin. It comes with a doubled seated sofa, which transforms into a bed a night. This suite has an en suite bathroom and all modern day technology available.

The Deluxe suite is a bigger room that has twin beds or a double bed separate to the lounge area. The magnificently wood paneled sleeper coach is dripping in elegance and sophistication. These refurbished suites have an en suite with a shower and also provide the latest technology for entertainment and amenities. All rooms have 24 hour service, catering to their guest's every needs and a mini bar filled with beverages.

And Finally the Royal Suite is 16sq Meters - taking up half a carriage! The incredibly stylish cabin has a large double bed with a private lounge and a full bathroom, featuring a Victorian bath tub and shower. The room has Edwardian decor with all the luxury and panache of a Royal’s bedroom. The grace and class of the room is like no other, taking travelling to a whole other level. All suites are equipped with a writing surface, mini bar, personal safe and 24 hour service.
