Italy Holidays
Italy is a great place to visit either for a short city break holiday or for a longer summer holiday. For a city break visit Rome, Milan, Pisa, Venice or Florence. For the longer holidays then the Dolomites, Tuscany and Sardinia are highly recommended.
If you are looking for a place to appeal to young and old then Rome and Venice certainly fit the bill. More...

In Rome for example everyone enjoys visiting the coliseum because of its sheer scale and colourful (albeit slightly gruesome) history! Everyone can get absorbed into the fascinating life of Europe's Roman ancestors. Away from Rome, the canals and beauty of Venice intrigue young and old, be it admiring beautiful architecture or just the pigeons in St Peter's square!
For walkers the Italian Alps, especially the Dolomites are worth visiting. More...

Move your way from the lower plains with sweet smelling vineyards up towards the spectacular views at the heart of Europe's alpine mountain range. If you take your walking seriously then The Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo in the Apennines have some great paths as do the Apuane Alps in Tuscany. There are also some spectacular hikes in the eastern ranges of Sardinia.
Obviously the Alps leap further into life during the winter as the ski season arrives. More...

Resorts such as Livigno and Courmayeur offer great skiing for beginners and experts. At good heights you can ski pretty late into the season as well. One of the things everyone loves about skiing in Italy is the lunchtime meals. After a hard morning's falling over you get into a restaurant on the mountain and dive into a bowl of the most fantastic pasta.
