The Museum of Anthropology (founded in 1947) is home to an array of worldwide artefacts and art. In particular there are works by First Nations peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast. It’s prehistoric and educational exhibits range from carvings, sculptures, dress and adornments, masks, weaponry, armour to totem poles.

MOA is a research and teaching museum as well as a tourist destination that houses 38,000 ethnographic objects, as well as 535,000 archaeological objects. Take a guided tour around the museum and learn the history and stories behind each piece. Be sure to pop into the amazing Bill Reid gallery and view his showcase of sculptures and make a point of viewing The Raven and The first Men.
