The bus station in Mahébourg is at the northern end of Rue Shivananda and there is a taxi stand nearby. Buses operate regularly between Mahébourg and Curepipe, via the airport and Rose Belle. Passengers can change in Curepipe for onward journeys to Port Louis and the north coast. Direct buses between Mahébourg and Port Louis are less frequent. There are also buses from Mahébourg to Centre de Flacq, Blue Bay, Souillac and Le Val.

Tourist information There is no tourist office in either Vieux Grand Port or Mahébourg but the people are very friendly and helpful. If you are staying in the area, your hotel should be able to offer advice and arrange excursions.
