"Kenya is still a developing country, with much visable poverty, but this should not put tourists off visiting. We visited Mombasa and stayed in the north and the south coast, we were more impressed with the south it was very beautiful, beaches amazing especially in galu further down from diani. The north has a bit more going on though. "

When they did venture out they were a little taken aback by the poverty and the children begging. It is not somewhere that the family will be going back to."

We also got to swim with wild Dolphins in the Indian Ocean which is an experience that needs no explination. BEACH BOYS! Everyone warns you to steer clear of the beach boys,but i sat on the beach & talked to them every day - most of them are just ordinary people trying to earn an honest living."

I would highly recommend Mombassa but wished we'd added 7 days to this break as apposed to 3. We didn't want to come home. The balloon trip was worth every penny and our stay at Giraffe manor."
