The French Quarter is the oldest part of New Orleans.

Every street in The French Quarter has something different to offer. Bourbon Street is the most famous street known for its lively atmosphere. It may be quiet during the day, but it becomes alive at night when you can listen to the musicians playing on the street and noises from plenty of bars and pubs.

Another popular street is Royal Street, where you can find the most beautiful houses in Spanish style, with beautiful balconies, filled with flowers, and shuttered windows. You can also take a ride with mule-drawn carriage and listen to the incredible stories from a carriage driver!

You will find here many historic buildings in Spanish style such as St. Louis Cathedral - the oldest Roman Catholic Cathedral, Presbytere - colonial church offices, now museum, and Cabildo - Colonial city hall, now a house of the Louisiana State Museum. Do not forget to take a trip to the historic French Market and buy some souvenirs!
