Following its exciting launch, a couple of our agents have journeyed ‘Beyond’, experiencing this exciting new liner by the renowned Celebrity Cruises.

If this ship does anything well (and it does!), it would be the stunning design & artwork throughout, and its clever use of space to make each area intimate, despite its size.

With a wide range of bars, each hosting both classic cocktails and Instagram-worthy artisan creations, the crew have exceptional attention to detail and provide a welcoming and relaxed environment to sail away with a drink in-hand.

With excitement everywhere you look, you’ll have to plan your day around pool parties, a trip to the spa, evening shows, live music, cooking demonstrations and of course, the odd port in order to fully maximize every moment. All of this excitement is brought to your fingertips with Celebrity’s app, which details what’s on where, your daily itinerary and even doubles up as an electronic room key!

Let’s talk staterooms; If you can resist staring at the stunning artwork hanging in your cabin and bathroom, you’ll see that storage in this room is truly made for function – Perfect for 2-week cruises. There’s a decent-sized wardrobe, safe and, chest of drawers and plenty of shelving to prevent you from living out of suitcases. There’s also complimentary robes for use during your cruise and a laundry bag, should you wish to use the service. Rooms are cleaned twice daily, with the evening visit including a turndown service. Bathrooms are very well-proportioned, making use of the space with full-size amenities and picture-perfect lighting, alongside much more shelving for those who love their products.

For those with mobility issues, the Beyond prides itself in its accessibility, ensuring every guest can feel as comfortable as possible during their stay. Throughout the ship, you’ll find special features, such as motion-activated disabled toilet doors, providing extra attention to detail for your comfort.

For the art-lovers, this ship is dripping in inspiration, a floating art gallery! There’s sculptures, photography, daring interior design and even a sensory corridor of lights & mirrors towards the rear of the ship. For those who love music and performance, there’s piano and acoustic guitar sessions running at the mid-ship Martini Bar multiple times a day, alongside a Chandelier Light Show, where the digital statement chandelier lights up to the beat of popular songs – You may even catch some entertaining mixologist performances in the midst of the action.

Adding to the chocolate box of offerings, you’ll find a craft & sports bar, a large outdoor screen for viewing movies & big sporting events, a spa, kids’ club, patisserie, chocolatier, sunset bar and the club. Besides the shows, we’d sincerely recommend the club for your evenings – Here you’ll find karaoke, cabaret acts, live bands and dancefloor-magnet playlists. Running late into the night, certain members of our team reported getting back to their cabin at 4 in the morning! So entertainment is a promise…

For the foodies, there’s the Oceanview Café, Eden Café, Spa Café & Juice Bar, and the Mast Grill, all complimentary dining venues. The one most worth noting here is the Oceanview Café – A large buffet restaurant with live cooking stations, fantastic views, a pizzeria, barista and bakery. It’s highly likely you’ll find your way into this venue at some point during your stay. Also included in your stay are a collection of ‘main dining’ venues, including; Cyprus, Tuscan, Normandie and Cosmopolitan – Each offering a contemporary twist on popular dishes. Should you wish to put your hand in your pocket for something special, there’s so many choices; The Eden Restaurant, Rooftop Garden Grill, Raw on 5, Le Petit Chef (a child-friendly interactive dining experience), Le Grand Bistro, Fine Cut Steakhouse, Le Voyage and a restaurant called The Magic Carpet – A balcony restaurant which sits on an elevator, making its way between different decks.

So what to go for? Our personal recommendation is to ensure you have the Premium Drinks Package to hand. In this plan, you’ll benefit from almost every drink on the ship (within reason of course), and we discovered there appears to be a price cap of a $15 dollar drink included. On this, we drank martinis, champagne, margaritas, you name it, and the only time we exceeded the value was by choice to have a specialty cocktail form the artful mixologists at Eden (see the pictures for a cocktail served in a treasure chest!). So in a nutshell, you’re unlikely to exceed your limit on your daily drinks unless you’re feeling particularly adventurous.

If you’re a smoker or a vaper, you will be pleased to hear there are two smoking areas on the ship, both of which with bar service if you planned to soak up some sun or hang out there.
