From its modern capital city of Doha, along the the beautiful beaches of the Arabian Gulf to the spectacular sand dunes of the inland sea, Qatar has plenty for visitors to enjoy.
Many of the seafront hotels in the Doha area have private beaches overlooking the crystal clear waters of the Arabian Gulf. The calm seas provide perfect conditions for enjoying an afternoon sailing or water-skiing.
Alternatively, just kick off your sandals and take a gentle
stroll along the beach before heading back for cocktails amidst the sumptuous surrounds of your luxury hotel.
A day spent exploring Doha will reveal a city that is a real mixture of traditional and modern. Strolling on the sea-front Corniche, you will be struck by the expanding and rising skyline.
Practice your haggling skills down at the Old Souk before heading for the Equestrian Club to experience first hand the renowned beauty of Arabian horses. A short 10 minute boat ride will take you to Palm Tree Island. Here you will find all the fun you need for a perfect family day out.
Qatar has many forts and castles many of which were contructed between the 17th and 19th centuries. One of the most famous is to be found at Al Zubara.

This impressive fort is square-shaped with circular towers in three of its corners and a rectangular tower in the fourth. With high, thick walls, it served as a coast guard station and, until the mid-1980s, was used by the military.
If you are looking for a holiday that has a lot of culture, luxury and which not many other tourists have visited then Qatar is perfect for you.
