You can visit the pink city of Jaipur, the hill top fortress of the Rajput rulers and the astonishing works of sculpture in the 10th Century temples of Khajuraho. There is of course the Taj Mahal and Sikandra in Agra as well. You can travel in luxury between these wonderful landmarks because of the low cost of transport. We have heard reports of people who have travelled hundreds of miles by train first class, with sumptuous meals, then enjoyed full day luxury guided tours in limousines and still have change from £50 ... and that''s for two people!

The fantastic aroma of locally grown spices fills the air and is too tempting to resist. You find yourself picking up tips and buying produce ready for your trip back. Everything looks and tastes so good that you will be certain you can create your own Indian banquet when you get home.

You can see some amazing birds and wildlife in the Naini Tal region for example. If you are very lucky then you will get to see one of India''s most secrative and powerful animals, the tiger. If you have enough time then you can journey even further north and experience a spectacular jeep safari to view the Himalayas.
