Barbados has beaches everywhere, just as you would expect from a Caribbean island. There are three different types of beach depending on where you are on the island.

On the east coast you'll find the beaches are wide and windswept. The dramatic waves created by the Atlantic Ocean crash into the east coast of Barbados making the beaches here great for surfing.

To the south and west of Barbados you'll find your more typical Caribbean beaches. Gentle stretches of soft sands caressed by the calmer Caribbean Sea. Ideal for relaxing and soaking up some of that amazing sunshine.

Towards the north of the island there are less beaches and more secluded coves. This area is rich in coral and sandstone cliffs and is great for exploring.
