This hotel has a fantastic location in the very safe residential area of San Isidro and is close-by to the historic centre of Lima. You can either take a walk around your neighbourhood and enjoy the many parks or hop in a taxi to head to Miraflores which is the main tourist centre of the capital. Here you will find lots of great cafes, restaurants and bars celebrating the delicious Peruvian cuisine, lots of fab boutique shops to wander about and many museums and galleries if culture is more your thing. The Larco museum and the Peru Archaeology museum are great choices for all history and culture vultures or the nearby Lima Golf Club is also conveniently located close to the hotel if this is more your thing.

The Melia is a 5* hotel and is a great base for your stay in Lima. The design of the hotel is elegant and neutral to establish a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. All rooms are light and airy with some local touches to bring some Peruvian spirit to your home away from home. There are 180 rooms at the hotel and they all have fantastic amenities to keep travellers satisfied including cable TV, free WIFI, safe, minibar and all include a bathtub which is often rare when travelling in South America!

Facilities wise this hotel does not disappoint. The reception is 24 hour and here they can help you with currency exchange, booking tours around the city and even give you some top tips and recommendations to make the most of your time in the capital. For those travelling on business the conference centre will be a welcome addition and for those that want to keep up their fitness whilst they are away the wellness centre will be perfect where they have a fully equipped gym, sauna, Turkish bath and various treatment rooms. Some other great points to mention about the Melia would be the 2 outdoor terraces and outdoor swimming pool which are perfect in the Summer months. Peruvian cuisine is fantastic and Lima has been known as the Gastronomic capital of the world. The onsite restaurant El Tambo is a very welcoming space and here you can enjoy both local home-cooked specialities and international dishes.

Is my booking protected?
Yes – If you book flights and hotels with us then you are fully protected under the ATOL scheme. If you buy hotels without flights then ATOL does not apply (as ATOL only applies to package holidays) but we take out supplier failure insurance on your behalf in case any of the travel providers go bust.

What payment terms do you have?
You pay a deposit of 10% or £150 per person (whichever is more) at the time of booking and then your balance 14 weeks before departure.
