"Big cities, rural landscapes and beautiful coast, so much to see and do"
"A great place, frightening traffic in Hanoi, but you get used to it. "
"What an amazing place!
The people are lovely, the country and its sights are stunning.
A great diversity in the different cities we visited ensured there was never a dull moment.
All of the trips, local guides, and the organisation was faultless.
One of the very few holidays where I wasn't thinking "it'll be nice to get home".
Wish we were still there."
"Beautiful and varied - Hanoi hot, busy and fun - Halong Bay was wonderful to experience and Da Nang was cracking, massive investment going on and tourism vital to them - loved the place"
"We really enjoyed Vietnam, we preferred it to Thailand, it is a little more developed and the food and people are lovely."
"Fabulous tantalising and vibrant. A country that has reinvented itself after the atrocities of the war."
"We visited previously on a tour but just wanted two weeks of relaxation."
"liked the cultural experience, we learned a lot about their struggles during the war. Nice to see some areas before they become heavily built on for tourism"
"Beautiful with very warm and friendly people"
"A great country to visit, fantastic food and people were very friendly "
"Authentic beauty, lots of bikes and beautiful beaches. "
"Amazing country. Not impressed with Na Trang. Too much like Benidorm. Would of preferred extra time in Hoi An"
"Very interesting country, the North is very different in culture and sights than the South."
"Fantastic friendly people, lovely scenery and food. Thoroughly enjoyed our cruise to the stunning Halong Bay. Crossing the road in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City was a nightmare as the locals don't take any notice of traffic lights and some of the huge numbers of motorbikes were driven on the pavement if they're were trying to get round any traffic jams! Loved Hoi An especially with its great shops, opportunities to have clothes made, great architecture and restaurants. Would definitely return there some time in the future. Slightly preferred Vietnam to Cambodia although Angkor Wat was amazing. Excellent hotels especially the Almanity Resort spa in Hoi An. Not quite so keen on the Silk d'Angkor with its average breakfast and very hard beds."
"Developing fast, but the people are welcoming and there is plenty to see and do."
"Fantastic place fantastic people just a great experience "
"Fabulous place from top to bottom "
"We stayed in Vietnam and Cambodia. Cambodia being the poor relation. A fantastic experience!"
"Very interesting and varied. Lots of different places to see and experience, well worth a week or more."
"an absolutely marvellous experience."
"We went to Cambodia too and LOVED them both! It was so great experiencing the city and the coast too."

"A very beautiful country & the people were very friendly nothing was too much trouble."
"Beautiful country and wonderfully friendly people."
"Really enjoyed it, Thailand 10 years ago which was nice quiet unspoilt."
"Vietnam was, again, incredible - the people, the landscape, the food, we travelled to a variety of areas and are keen to return both here and Cambodia. Food was incredibly cheap and delicious, freshest ingredients."
"Beautiful country, many parts still not become too touristy which is great, VERY quiet beaches."
"Loved it. People are extremely friendly and the food is excellent."
"Never been expected it to be similar to Thailand."
"Holiday very good did Hanoi Hioan and Ho ch mingh"
"Beautifull, massively different scenery, North from South, and a difference in culture North and South. Massive changes cuturally likley over the coming decade, so go now before it becomes like everywhere else."
"We booked and used Mekong eyes whilst there, although not atop bonded what they offer is incredible value, look into it. Private boat, and travel, guides, great food"
"very cheap, and locals very helpful and friendly"
"Great place to visit. People very friendly.Food was excellent. The roads are terrible as are the driving standards"
"We were pleasantly surprised with how nice everyone was. It was a fascinating trip--beautiful beaches and very tourist-friendly."
"Amazing! I did a Northbound Express Tour with Intrepid and it exceeded my expectations on every level! I also carried on to Cambodia which was also amazing."
"Friendly people, excellent country."
"Stayed at the Intercontinental Westlake in Hanoi prior to going to Nha Trang. An excellent hotel.
Stayed at the Caravelle hotel in Ho Chi Minh City after Nha Trang. Again another excellent hote. All hotels we visited had prior information on me which was nice it made it that bit more friendlier. That must be down to Michelle. My thanks will go to her when she rerturns from her "gap year".
"Beginning to get more developed. Citys very clean but beaches need work"
"Lovely/friendly people however in danger of spoiling the touist experience due to major development/building work going on throughout the resorts and beyond. Scaring of the countryside created by surface mining materials."
"Wonderful people,cities & food"
"A very fresh and colourful place, with it's strong history and vibrant present, a very relaxing experience"
"in winter very cold in the north. Sapa hotels and restaurants unheated! It was freezing. People very friendly and in our case exceptionally honest. Go out under weight limit as there are plenty of bargains to purchase. Free internet everywhere - hotels, cafes."
"loved it "
"We were in Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand. Probably the one country that disapointed us was Laos"
"I am hoping will be very good."
"The weather was perfect, the Vietnamese people are great and the country is fantastic. The hotels were amazing and we would definitely recommend the Halong Bay trip."
