“What an amazing place! The people are lovely, the country and its sights are stunning. A great diversity in the different cities we visited ensured there was never a dull moment. “Fantastic friendly people, lovely scenery and food. Thoroughly enjoyed our cruise to the stunning Halong Bay. Crossing the road in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City was a nightmare as the locals don't take any notice of traffic lights and some of the huge numbers of motorbikes were driven on the pavement if they're were trying to get round any traffic jams! Loved Hoi An especially with its great shops, opportunities to have clothes made, great architecture and restaurants. Would definitely return there some time in the future. Slightly preferred Vietnam to Cambodia although Angkor Wat was amazing. Excellent hotels especially the Almanity Resort spa in Hoi An. Not quite so keen on the Silk d'Angkor with its average breakfast and very hard beds.”

“Stayed at the Intercontinental Westlake in Hanoi prior to going to Nha Trang. An excellent hotel. Stayed at the Caravelle hotel in Ho Chi Minh City after Nha Trang. Again another excellent hote. All hotels we visited had prior information on me which was nice it made it that bit more friendlier. That must be down to Michelle.My thanks will go to her when she rerturns from her "gap year". ”

“in winter very cold in the north. Sapa hotels and restaurants unheated! It was freezing. People very friendly and in our case exceptionally honest. Go out under weight limit as there are plenty of bargains to purchase. Free internet everywhere - hotels, cafes.”
