“Unfortunately do to the hurricane there were issues with electricity and even in the hotels internet is rarely available. The country is beautiful, and the people are very friendly. Everyone was very helpful, but poverty is a huge problem especially in Havana. ”

“distances are huge between resorts. 2hrs from Havana to Varadero, 5hrs to Santa Clara etc and because internal flights are unreliable these journeys are made by taxi!”

“The coutnry was perfectlys uited to a twin centre holdiay. Food was poor but as to be expected. Havan was expensive. More advice needs to be given on closed curreny and need to carry enough sterling.”

“The place we stayed was nice but it was not a 5 star, we had a broken wardrobe and cockroaches in our bathroom. To get to the outside shower you had to go into the property which in my opinion defeats the purpose of an outside shower. Also it was obvious the place had been hit by a hurricane and it was not 100% up and running although we had been guaranteed this. Overall a disappointing honeymoon.”

“when you go on outside tours you have to remember the people are poor, you have to tip, and at the end of your holiday if you can leave clothes and anything they can use eg: soap, also take sweets with you, on average they are very lovely people”
