Located on a quiet stretch of golden sandy beach the Amber Sands Beach Resort is family owned and situated on Koh Chang where it provides unbroken peace and tranquillity.

A warm and friendly hospitality is to be expected along with attention to detail in rooms with mosquito spray and slippers to name just a little of the conveniences and comfort you will enjoy. The resort has remained small enough to offer an individual service whilst you still retain those essential amenities such as Wi-Fi internet access, the use of a computer with broadband internet access and laundry services.

The island of Koh Change has plenty to offer visitors and whilst your accommodation is located on the quieter side of the island the hotel will happily arrange excursions for you such as jungle trekking, kayaking through the mangroves, elephant treks into the jungle, sailing, scuba diving, Thai cookery classes, tree top adventures and ATV tours.

Exclusivity has been maintained at the Amber Sands Beach Resort with just eight detached bungalows set within a tropical garden setting. Each bungalow is just metres from the sea and are set in a semi-circular pattern around the swimming pool to ensure the sea views are retained.

The bungalows have a variety of sizes to match your parties' numbers and these include Superior Bungalows of 20 square metres. The Superior Bungalows feature en-suite shower rooms, individually controlled air-conditioning, extra wide king-sized beds, in-room wall safes and an outside furnished deck and are maintained with a daily maid service.

For larger parties there is a Family Bungalow which features a main bedroom and a second bedroom with two twin beds. There is only one entrance to this bungalow so it is well suited to couples with young children.

The Amber Sands Resort incorporates an open sided restaurant from which you can step onto the sand and into the sea. The views from the restaurant are lined by palm fringed beaches and include views of Thai stilt houses, the Thai mainland and the distant blue mountains of Cambodia.

The restaurant's Thai Chefs will tantalise your taste buds with a selection of well-known Thai dishes and local cuisines created using only the freshest seasonal ingredients. Western dishes are also offered to those yearning for the taste of home and there is a children's menu, cocktails, fresh fruit shakes and snacks available too.

"Again, very hot and sunny, although it clouded over a bit towards the end of our stay and we had a few thunderstorms, preventing us from getting too tanned!"

Is my booking protected?
Yes – If you book flights and hotels with us then you are fully protected under the ATOL scheme. If you buy hotels without flights then ATOL does not apply (as ATOL only applies to package holidays) but we take out supplier failure insurance on your behalf in case any of the travel providers go bust.

What payment terms do you have?
You pay a deposit of 10% or £150 per person (whichever is more) at the time of booking and then your balance 14 weeks before departure.
