If you are looking to escape between the summer and winter then there are plenty of destinations to choose from. At the beginning of Autumn you have North African and Middle East destinations becoming more temperate. Then towards the end of Autumn the Fat East and Caribbean leave their wet seasons behind.
Here are some of our top recommends for a fantastic holiday this Autumn
Mauritius, Maldives and the Seychelles are pretty constant all year round however we recommend travelling in Autumn when they are not quite so busy. Not only will you have more space to enjoy what they have to offer but their prices will be more reasonable than peak times, especially Christmas.
In the summer temperatures can top 100F (40C) in Northern Africa and the Middle East. This is too hot even for the most devoted sun god. However in the Autumn their temperatures become much more reasonable and you can still get a fantastic tan without it being uncomfortable. We would recommendation destinations such as Dubai, Morocco and Egypt. If you would like something a little bit different then try Oman or Qatar. For diving enthusiasts we recommend seeing the sunken wrecks around Malta.
If you want to go to the Far East after their wet season and before they become too expensive at Christmas the we recommend travelling in late Autumn/Early Winter. Our top recommendations for the Caribbean would be Barbados, St Lucia and Antigua. For the Far East it has to be Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam.
