The stunning Shangri-La Hotel is located close to the airport golf course and city centre however the beautiful extensive gardens will make you feel like you are in your own faraway place. The hotel is luxuriously appointed with Arabic decor and is connected by a winding waterway upon which sail abras, traditional Arabic boats.

You can enjoy a relaxing trip in the abra which can take you to the hotels souk, a traditional market, where you can browse the many shops selling jewellery, clothes and traditional artefacts. The Shangri-La Hotel has its very own private beach which is the perfect place to enjoy a beautiful sunset over Abu Dhabi.

The hotel has 214 rooms and suites as well as six four-bedroom villas all of which are elegantly furnished and include modern facilities with an Arabian flair. The Deluxe rooms include a private balcony with a view of the canal as well as a beautiful marble and mosaic bathroom with walk-in rain shower.

For a more spacious room you can opt to stay in an Executive Suite which includes a private balcony, separate dining/living area and luxury toiletries. The Executive Suites have views of the canal and include luxurious furnishings and exclusive Horizon Club privileges.

The villas at the Shangri-La Hotel are designed to provide an exclusive sanctuary with state of the art technology and include a discreet and convenient butler service. Each villa includes a private swimming pool, dining room, garage and lounge and some of the villas include a private cinema.

The Shangri-La Hotel has some of the best restaurants in Abu Dhabi and these include the Shang Palace where you can enjoy authentic Chinese food or if you are in the mood for fine dining choose the Bord Eau restaurant where you can sample the finest French cuisine.

The Sofra-bid is an all-day dining restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast and lunch and the Pearls & caviar restaurant provides an elegant sitting to enjoy Mediterranean food. The Shangri-La Hotel also boasts an award winning Vietnamese restaurant as well as a number of bars where you can enjoy drinks either by the pool or when taking in the cityscape.

The hotel aims to offer everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and memorable stay and facilities include a beautiful spa, hospitality lounge and hair and beauty salon as well as a 24 hour business centre and tour desk for organising local tours to tourist attractions. A helicopter transfer can be arranged to and from the airport or a taxi or limousine service is available.
