Despite it's old world charm, Hua Hin is an active, busy fishing port with a excelent night time market, that sells a huge variety of handcrafts. There are many 18-hole golf courses and places to relax by the beautiful Thai beaches.
Hua Hin combines traditional and modern attractions, without spoiling the charm and fascination of a still active fishing port. Hua Hin was discovered by King Rama VII in the early 1920s, in 1928 he had a royal palace built, which is still frequently used by members of the royal family today and is open to the public for visits.
The fishing ports provide the restaurants with fresh fish, many restaurants also serve international meals. They also have some fantastic elephant parks, situated outside the city centre, where you can go for a ride and then feed them to thank them!
