Every morning, you can wake up to the gentle sound of water splashing into the sparkling lagoon pool as it meanders past your villa.

You can discover local life as you cycle past lush rice fields and explore the village marketplaces. It's amazing when you cycle past the villages as many of the children come out waving with big smiles on their faces!

You can also challenge yourself to a 3-day trek to the second largest mountain in Indonesia, Mount Rinjani where there is a crater lake and natural hot springs.

For example the Gili Islands off the coast of Lombok have only recently been discovered so the coral-fringed beaches are idyllically secluded and the waters are crystal clear with abundant undersea life. On one of the islands, Gili Air, there is a turtle reserve where you can see lots of delightful baby turtles!

You can even swim down to large clams which you should be able to make open and close by waving water around them. Above the surface Lombok's Kuta beach is great for surfing and windsurfing.
