Le Mauricia Hotel, Mauritius

For an exciting mix of leisure activities and relaxation, Le Mauricia has everything to offer, including warm, friendly service in a trendy atmosphere. Situated in the north west of the island, it is an easy walk to the bars and cafés of Grande Baie but is equally a self-contained village of beach activities, restaurants, bars, evening entertainment and even its own soundproofed nightclub.

Set in acres of tropical gardens, all rooms except the family apartments and the villa face the sea and have views over Grand Baie from a private terrace or balcony. All rooms have air conditioning and en-suite bathroom and shower and beach towels among the standard facilities.

There are 198 standard rooms with a tropical look and feel, light green walls and drapes opening onto a sunlit balcony or terrace and varying views towards the Bay. The bathroom is screened off the bedroom. There are 26 apartments including 20 units with a private garden - ideal for families or friends travelling together. Each apartment has two bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom and one with two double beds and a sofa bed, opening on to a terrace with a pergola leading to a private walled garden.

There is a three-room luxury villa with a private pool and four honeymoon suites each with a spacious open-plan bedroom and living areas, plus a separate eating area, a whirlpool bath, bathrobes, large walk in wardrobe and double width terrace or balcony. Of course, you don’t have to be on your honeymoon to book one!

As well as two pools and the beach, there are two excellent restaurants and a host of unlimited, free land and water sports, from tennis to waterskiing and sailing.

Le Mauricia’s “all inclusive” package is interchangeable with Le Canonnier hotel resort nearby.

Prices for a 7 night holiday at Le Mauricia start from £1,077 per person based on two adults staying in a standard room on a half board basis between 01 May and 30 June 2008. Return flights from Heathrow and shared resort transfers are included.
