Room	10.0 / 10	For the price we paid, and with Marcus being a real steak man, it was disappointing that if you wanted a decent steak in one of the restaurants there was either a $25.00 or $50.00 additional charge. If you are a red wine drinker, please note that all the red wine is served chilled. I'm not, so no problem for me, the selection of white wine/champagne was fantastic. Marcus being a red wine drinker wasn't keen at all on the chilled wine. The side of the island indicated on the attached (between the two red lines) overlooks a very populated island, the accommodation at the other side and the water villas have a much nicer view. If I had stayed at this side of the island, I would have been extremely disappointed with the outlook. Photo of the populated island also attached. For information, for any future bookings. Our villa host wasn't the best, after reading the reviews other guests spoke very highly of their host. He didn't offer any ideas/recommendations for my birthday, Marcus spoke to him and all he said was, I'll book you in for a floating breakfast (not something we wanted). I was under the impression that your host would meet with you to go through and agree an itinerary for the duration of the holiday, ours didn't, but from the reviews lots of the other hosts had. Menu options in the restaurants a little repetitive for 13 nights, staff did say to us that most people stayed between 5-7 nights. However, I appreciate that more "commercialised resorts" would have more options. But I didn't want that, my idea of the Maldives was exactly the island that we stayed at. The water villa was outstanding and the best accommodation either of us had every stayed in. The island was idyllic and everything I had ever dreamed of, the memory of waking up in such a beautiful place on my birthday will stay with me forever. The best birthday present I've ever had 😊😊.
