This hidden gem of the Drakensberg lies between Johannesburg and Durban, about 3 hours drive between the two and can be reached by car or you can fly into Ladysmith Airport. The Cathedral Peak Hotel sits in a secluded valley and is surrounded by the majestic mountains and provided excellent accommodation and entertainment in the centre of this World Heritage Site.

This turn of the century hotel features 104 rooms ranging from standard, family and superior to Honeymoon or Executive Suites. The hotel also boasts a magnificent private Presidential Suites. The hotel is the ultimate in luxury in the Drakensburg and guests love it so much that they keep coming back. The spacious and well appointed rooms are all ensuite and are located around the estate.

The Drakensberg attracts many types of visitors from conference guests to local tourists to hikers to international tourists and there is always plenty to do, activities incude golf, hiking, horse riding, plenty of sports around the resort from mini golf to volleyball to tennis. There are heated and cold swimming pools and playgrounds for the kids. A gym and spa are onsite for guests and when you need a bite the hotel has a fabulous and extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet. The hotel has 2 bars on site, Alberts Cocktail Bar to relax next to a fire or Harry's Bar for a game of pool and catch up on some sport.

Is my booking protected?
Yes – If you book flights and hotels with us then you are fully protected under the ATOL scheme. If you buy hotels without flights then ATOL does not apply (as ATOL only applies to package holidays) but we take out supplier failure insurance on your behalf in case any of the travel providers go bust.

What payment terms do you have?
You pay a deposit of 10% or £150 per person (whichever is more) at the time of booking and then your balance 14 weeks before departure.
